Nigeria: The Calmness Of A Lion Must Not Be Misconstrued As Weakness

Lions are dangerous species of animals and are regarded as the kings of the jungle. Their deadly instincts are unfathomable. They are unmatchably wild, devouring virtually all flesh at their reach. Sometimes, they could pretentiously assume calmness and innocence but such characteristics must not be misconstrued for weakness or taken for levity.

The three years old war (1967-1970), Nigeria with her foreign allies murderously waged against Biafra was presumably lost not because Biafrans were the underdogs or lacked the required weaponry to carry on. The surrender was initiated for the respect and value for human lives and dignity to prevail. The weapons employed in prosecuting that atrocious war by the Nigerian soldiers had little or no impact if not for the massive support of their foreign mercenaries. Through their murderous activities, Biafran homes and camps were devastated, babies, children, women, men and even the elderly, gruesomely massacred. The people's General, Chukwuemeka Odimegu Ojukwu, in the light of this criminal onslaught against his people, had to surrender in order to completely stem the tide of mass death and safeguard the lives of both the young and the old.

The Nigerian soldiers have over the years been rampaging the land of Biafra on successive basis with impunity since the end of hostilities in 1970. The Nigerian government in it's clandestine agenda and against all forms of civility, proceeded further to tag the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), a terrorist organization without any verifiable record of death or destruction of property being orchestrated State-sponsored killing of innocent Biafrans have persistently continued. The fact remains that since after the civil war, the Biafran people have never, even in the face of provocations, picked up arms against the state not because they lack knowledge of usage or out of fear but because of the need for the creation of enough global awareness of all that are being   meted against them by the Nigerian leadership. Great thanks to the Almighty God for the gracious emergence of the IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. It is through his leadership acumen that IPOB has thus far, achieved positive/tremendous results within the past eight (8) years and yet counting.

Biafrans in their serene nature, have  lost their loved ones through the vampiric/destructive tendencies of the Nigerian security forces. Many Biafran families have been forcefully deprived of their bread winners and children. Tears of anguish have been ceaselessly shed and shall no longer be allowed. Biafrans will no longer fold their hands in the name of "delusional peace, justice and equity" being daily chorused in Nigeria while state-sponsored terror, death and destruction ravage Biafraland. No more accommodation of deceit and falsehood with the fictitious "oneness" while Fulani Islamic terror groups swam into our land pillaging, dispossessing us of our ancestral inheritances, raping and killing our women while their fellow jihadists in police, army and other sister security forces clad in military/paramilitary uniforms give them cover. The season of self-defence has dawned.

Enough cries have been made to the global community for intervention to no avail. Tears are being profusely shed by Biafrans with virtually no one to give consolation. There have been pleas for referendum but the world instead, seem to pretentiously behave as if strange choruses are being sung just because such emanate from Biafrans. Profiled servants of God with prophetic precision have equally lent their voices for peaceful dialogue but the Nigerian government has remained defiantly docile, choosing rather, the option of force, intimidation and death.

It is heartwarming therefore to state here that the raising of the "Dragon Flag" by the IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, on Sunday 23rd August 2020, has become the much needed respite and until the sovereign nation of Biafra is fully restored, this self-defence activated mechanism will remain afloat. This flag will never ever be lowered until it's purpose is clinically achieved. Biafrans shall continually hunt down the killers of their loved ones until this state-instituted madness is roundly  defeated.

Enough is enough!
