Nigeria's 60th Anniversary As Was Observed In Biafraland

The order given by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), for a comprehensive shutdown of activities in the entire Biafran territory on Thursday 1st October 2020, was successfully carried out, thereby bringing the charade called Nigeria's Annual Event to a standstill. We can vividly recall that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu had made the call for the massive boycott of this event on Wednesday 9th of September 2020 and ever since then, nobody including the governors was able to salvage the situation on the D-Day. It sounds ridiculous that even some of the mouthing governors of the Southeast/South-South regions are even being governed by the same Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, they have all these years, plotted against.

From Anambra State as the originating home of Biafrans, the commercial city of Onitsha, one of the largest cities housing the biggest market in the West African sub-region, was completely shutdown from dawn to dusk. Adding to that, 'Emeka Ofor Plaza' which deals on phone accessories was shutdown completely. At Otuocha in Anambra East, it's secretariat and mini stadium were still under lock and key as at 1:00pm that day and the ever busy Aguleri junction leading to the secretariate was totally deserted too.

In Port Harcourt, Rivers State, there was an absolute calmness in the streets as everything that walked on legs including the domestic animals were at home in compliance to the "Sit-At-Home" order. Major and minor markets were strongly keyed which prompted the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) operatives stationed at those areas to scramble themselves into people's homes and taking captives those suspected to be members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

Still in Rivers, the popular Aluu main market was completely deserted and shops keyed.

At Uyo, the capital city of Akwa Ibom State, the ever busy Eket road was  deserted. Nkwo Nkalagu daily market in Ebonyi State, Ekeoha Shopping Center in Abia State and it's environs were totally deserted. Okwudo Njaba in Imo State, Isaac Boro expressway Yenagoa in Bayelsa State to mention but a few, were all shutdown.

The entire Biafraland was totally shutdown because everyone seems totally done with Nigeria. It is time to go our separate ways so that we can live in peace and not be ultimately wiped out under the fallacious one Nigeria mantra. After hundred (100) years of settlement and sixty (60) years of flag independence, Nigeria as a country; despite all her natural resources is still borrowing money for it's own growth and development.

Is it not funny enough for the one Nigeria protagonists to cover their faces in shame? We have discovered our real self, we are Biafrans and nobody signed the 1914 almagamation documents on our behalf that should warrant our continued co-existence in a deluded Nigeria. Even if somebody did, we just have to jettison it because light do not harbor darkness. We have as a people, seen enough and edured much of torturing, harassment, killings, marginalisation and subjugation within the past sixty (60) years of  our relationship with Nigeria. It is time for a divorce so that both the bride and the groom can have and enjoy their individual freedom and peace.
