Declare Sit At Home If you are In charge---Henry Eke challenges South East Governors

A United States of America based criminologist, Chief Henry Otulle Eke, has challenged the South East governors, to declare a sit at home like Nnamdi Kanu did, and see the level of compliance by the people, before they can claim they speak for the people of the South East.

Chief Henry Eke made the statement on his Facebook handle, in reaction to the recent disowning of the leader of the proscribed Indigenous Peoples of Biafra IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, by the five governors of the South East.

Chief Henry Eke who is also a journalist, frowned at the action of the South East governors, as well as the Ohanaeze Ndigbo, that joined the state governors in disowning Nnamdi Kanu.

Nnamdi Kanu had ordered a sit at home, in honour of the Biafran fallen heroes and there was a one hundred percent compliance across the South East, as well as parts of the South South.

Even Igbos living outside the South East, had also obeyed the order by the IPOB leader, as business activities, mainly owned by Igbos, were grounded.

The five governors of the South East, who met in Enugu had issued a statement, where they disowned Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB, as well as other groups seeking secession from Nigeria.

There decision had received backing from the Arewa group, the Northern elders forum, as well as the South West socio cultural group, Afenifere, all of whom hailed the action of the South East governors, as they called for a united Nigeria.

Recall that seventy two Northern groups, had announced the placement of a bounty of N100 million on Nnamdi Kanu.

The disowning of the IPOB leader came days after the bounty was placed on his head by the Northern groups, and sparked suspicion of an agreement between the South East governors, and the powers behind the groups that placed the bounty.

Nnamdi Kanu is yet to react to the statements from the Northern groups, or the South East governors.
