 Ebubeagu Security Outfit, A Clear Misappropriation Of Purpose

Solid national defense setting is a paramount apparatus in building a safe society for lives and properties of citizens in any nation of the world. Unfortunately, the British contraption we call Nigeria today, is totally in lack of such security frame, and it is mostly so since the inception of this present All Progressive Congress(APC) government of Muhammadu Buhari. Nationwide complains and cries about insecurity is what we hear of everyday; either it is happening in the South-east, Southwest, North or the middle-belt. There is a sprint increase in the daily report on terror activities; ranging from Boko-Haram, Fulani Herdsmen, ISWAP and other Fulani terror groups. It now even appears like they have all joined forces in their pursuit to get all entrapped nations in Nigeria into bowing to Islamic Jihad.

This ugly situation has been so deteriorating that every region of the country resorted to forming local security outfits in scamper for the safety of their regions, but the whole of old eastern region(Biafra) was left out. Incase you are not familiar with the current security crises in the south-east, please stay clued till the end of this article to grasp the whole story.

Recall that especially in 2019 and 2020, there was an increase in killings, kidnappings, destruction of farms and farm products, etcetera in the Biafran regions, and these evils were being perpetrated by Fulani herdsmen. While these continued happening, Biafrans deserted their farmlands in fear of these invaders, some vacated their villages, many were in fear, crying to the governors and political leaders of the region to provide them security against these Fulani marauders, but their cries fell on deaf ears.

The Indigenous People Of Biafra(IPOB), ably led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu officially wrote to these eastern governors and requested same security formation for our people like almost every other regions have done, yet they were ignored IPOB. Interestingly, this is what led to the birthing of Eastern Security Network(ESN), launched in December 2020 by the IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

Since the time of this launching, the gallant men of this Biafran force were fundamentally mandated to strictly base their operations in Biafra forests, bushes and rural areas day and night and ensure that the activities of the Fulani Herdsmen terrorists gets rid off our land. 

Today, we can make bold to say that 70-80% of Fulani excesses in Biafraland have been taken care of by ESN. 

Farmers can now freely to their farms without the fear of our mothers and sisters being rapped, or our men getting slaughtered indiscriminately. Peace is restored in every corner of Biafraland. We can now sleep with our both eyes closed.

Now, recollect what I told you in paragraph three(3) of this article about the "politicians giving deaf ear to the cry of Biafrans". The formation of ESN and her success in resisting the activities of Fulani in Biafraland sadly, became a serious discomfort to these Fulani servants(Eastern Politicians) who already sold out our land to their Fulani master because of greed and political interests.

Therefore, in their quest to quench IPOB and ESN, they launched an opposition security outfit(Ebubeagu) to counter ESN.

However, it fail to occur to them that there is "no stronger army than the army of volunteers". 

So, Ebubeagu could not find ESN any where to stop. And in few occasions when some betrayers led them and other Nigeria security agents to ESN location, most of them did not live to tell the story.  That is how the Ebubeagu which is ought to be a security to the people, turned to become a big threat to the South-east populace. Instead of Ebubeagu agents moving into the forests and bushes to combat our enemies like ESN is doing, which is primarily what the Biafran people cried for,  they are in the markets harassing our market women and destroying people's goods. They turned a worst problem than the enemies which these politicians claimed to have formed then to fight.

If you go to Ebonyi State International market as I write now, you will see them carrying marchets and guns as though they are at war front. They beat both young and old women, destroy their goods, If one has any little misunderstanding with another, and simply heads to call Ebubeagu, they will only come to threaten the other fellow. If someone is owing you and you call Ebubeagu, they will come and beat the person to stupor.

Ebubeagu's Modus Operandi is very questionable.

Their orientation is wrong. It is purely against the well being of our people. Sincerely speaking, it actually appears like most of them by their actions, even lack simple home training.

This is not what our people asked for. Ebubeagu supposed purpose, is excessively being misappropriated and they should be stopped.
