 Nnamdi Kanu Commends The DOS For Their Proactiveness - IPOB Lawyer Says

In a press report releaseed by Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor, the lead counsel to the Indigenous People Of Biafra(IPOB) stated on Monday, 27th March, 2023 that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu who is detained illegally and unconstitutionally in a solitary confinement by the Department of State Services in Abuja, commended the IPOB Directorate Of State(DOS)'s proactive measures, and urged them to ensure no stone would be left unturned. That was after being briefed on the results which followed a swift reactions of the movement's leadership over the libelous ranking of IPOB as 10th most dangerous group by Institute for Economics and Peace(IEP) on their Global Terrorism Index Report for 2023.

The report reads in parts:

"Onyendu was also briefed on today’s reaction of the GTI (Global Terrorism Index), as a direct impact of the legal interventions undertaken by the IPOB Leadership, to compel the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP), to immediately retract and tender unreserved apology for their offensive, mischievous and false labelling of the IPOB in the recent terrorism index; and the position of the matter in the Australian court".

In a follow up story, according to the report. Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu urged the leadership of IPOB to ensure the establishment pays heavily for their false, libelous and mischievous ranking of the hallowed movement in their report.

 "He commended the DOS for their proactiveness, even as he implores the foreign lawyer engaged by the noble Movement to ensure that the GTI and IEP pays heavily in damages for this defamatory/libelous labelling" the report reads.

Recall that on 14th March 2023, the Institute for Economics and Peace included IPOB as 10th most dangerous group in it's Global Terrorism Index Report for 2023, which resulted to wide range dismay from IPOB Leadership and members. 

Reacting to the misguided ranking by IEP, IPOB embarked on a wide range media exposition and legal litigations against the institute. IPOB in a press report released by Comrade Emma Powerful described the report as conspiratorial between the Federal government of Nigeria and the establishment in a bid to demonize the movement. The Institute for Economics and Peace reacting to the developments so far, have reviewed their report and edited their report on the hallowed IPOB movement. In a reviewed report posted on their website on 27th March, 2023, IEP stated that IPOB is a non-violent organization seeking to restore the independence state of Biafra in Nigeria, they updated their report.
