BIAFRA: 10 Reasons DSS Must Discontinue The Hatchet Plan Of Censored Surgery On Nnamdi Kanu

Nnamdi Kanu

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra(IPOB) a freedom movement for the restoration of the sovereign state of Biafra was kidnapped from Kenya by the Nigerian agents in June 2021. The Nigerian security agents and Kenyan counterparts tortured the IPOB leader and went on to extraordinarily rendition him to Nigeria, blindfolded without extradition proceedings as required by International law of extradition. Kanu has since been illegally and unconstitutionally detained in the Nigerian Department Of State Services(DSS)'s solitary confinement, despite court orders that discharged and acquitted him of all charges and also six months expiration order by the United Nations Working Group on Human Rights who directed Nigeria government to release him unconditionally and pay the IPOB leader compensations.

Nnamdi Kanu has equally been experiencing deteriorating health conditions especially the severe pains on his left ear where report says he was hit during the severe torture he received in Kenya. Kanu's legal team have raised serious concerns and several other well-meaning persons, groups have made calls for Kanu’s immediate release from DSS gulad, to enable him seek for an independent medical treatment as soon as possible, but Nigeria government has blatantly ignored all this calls and orders.

Recently, a disturbing report has surfaced, stating that the IPOB leader will undergo ear surgery in DSS dungeon. This report has caused serious reactions from the public and people are questioning the plans of those involved in such dangerous move that will likely place the life of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in serious danger.

Analysing the report, here are some of the pertinent reasons why the DSS and those involved must discontinue the hatchet job and plan of conducting any surgery on Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in DSS dungeon, instead release him for proper independent diagnosis, operation and health care.

1: Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra(IPOB), a Worldwide Non-violent Self-Determination movement registered in over 100 countries of the world, is not a common criminal that could be tossed around by DSS medical officials. Allowing these hatchet plan to operate on Nnamdi Kanu is suicidal as the impact of anything untoward that may happen to the IPOB leader during or after this plan would not be tolerated or accepted. The consequences would be felt all over Nigeria and the world. Therefore, DSS medical unit and those involved should as a matter of urgency discontinue the dangerous plan forthwith.

2: The life, health and general wellbeing of the IPOB Leader is deteriorating as at this moment, and will be further put to serious jeopardy in the hands of quack, inexperienced Otolaryngologists in the DSS medical unit, should they further the unmonitored surgical plan on him. This however, call for the DSS authorities to abort such plan and further release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to his family for a supervised independent treatment, if they so much care for his health.

3: Kanu is still a prisoner of conscience who has been discharged and acquitted by competent courts of jurisdiction in Nigeria, but yet being illegally and unconstitutionally detained by Nigerian government. Detaining and planning to conduct a censored surgery on him is tantamount to raising international eyebrows of suspicion on the intentions of the government. On this note, it suffices to reiterate that Nigerian government and her DSS must discontinue any shambolic plan of conducting surgery on Nnamdi Kanu, but release him as ordered by competent courts of law, so that he can oversee his own treatment.

4: Let it be known that the IPOB family are very much eligible and capable of footing any independent medical operation anywhere in the world for their detained brother. Recall that DSS on Monday 5th June 2023, abruptly denied Mazi Nnamdi Kanu's sibling and his personal Physician access to the IPOB Leader's cell. Therefore, as a matter of fact, DSS should immediately stop the ostentatious contempt hidden on conducting ear surgery on Kanu and release him to IPOB family to take care of his health the best way they wish.

5: Nigerian government and her security agencies, especially DSS should note that IPOB have to their disposals the wherewithal to ensure their supreme Leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu gets the best state-of-the art medical operation and health care anywhere in the world. DSS should stop the disdainful display they are plotting under the cover of ear surgery and release IPOB Leader so he can be adequately treated before anything untoward happens to him in their custody. Time is ticking.

6: Owing to the decayed state of health systems in Nigeria, from dilapidated health infrastructures, numerous unprofessional health workers, ill-equipped health centres, to the general deathtraps prevalent in the Nigerian health sector, it is extremely callous and insensitive of DSS medical unit to think of conducting a high level surgery as the Kanu's otolaryngology case. Therefore, DSS medical unit must desist from the hatchet plan of playing with the most precious life (individual) in Nigeria and release him as ordered by competent courts of jurisdiction and United Nations Working Group.

7: It is on record, the number of medical trips undertaken by various presidents of Nigeria and numerous top political and religious elites to Europe and America for medical check-ups and other health related concerns due to the malfunctional health system of the decayed Nigerian health sector. Since these political leaders who ought to provide adequate health facilities and infrastructures across the country hastily fly out of Nigeria for mere medical check-ups, what on earth convinced the duplicitous DSS that somehow they have the capacity to conduct an ear surgery on Kanu in their unequipped medical unit? Therefore, they must abort that plan and release Kanu to be treated adequately.

8: Following the plethora of surgical failures conducted by most half-baked, inexperienced, quota system and roadside surgeons across hospitals in various states in Nigeria, the DSS medical unit has no guarantee of vote of confidence to embark on any surgical undertaking on the Alpha Male, Most Important Person in Nigeria, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu under their illegal detention facility. However, must desist from carrying out such dangerous unprofessional act and urgently release him so he can take care of his health.

9: Furthermore, it is widely believed that brain drain factor has overseen many professional doctors, surgeons and specialists run out of Nigeria in search for a conducive working clime, leaving few professionals and numerous quacks in the country. The chances of having a good specialist otolaryngologist in the DSS medical unit is very slim and therefore does not give room for an ear surgery on Kanu while in their gulag.

10: Last but not the end, Nigerian government lacks every moral right to supervise or conduct any unmonitored treatment whatsoever on someone they kidnapped, tortured, extraordinarily renditioned, solitarily confined, denied access to his personal Physician, and still detained illegally and unconstitutionally against court orders discharging and acquiting him. That is contempt of the highest order. It is gravely unacceptable. Therefore, DSS must release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu immediately and pay him the respective damages and awarded by the court rulings.

These and many more are reasons why DSS must not joke or play with the health and wellbeing of the IPOB leader, but immediately release him to his family before it becomes too late.
