EXCLUSIVE: How Nigerian, Igbo Youths Are Being Lured To Kuwait With Fake Job Promises
There is a significant incidents of travel scams targeting young Nigerian youths with Kuwait visas, and it is spiraling out of control. Thousands of Nigerian youths find themselves stranded in Kuwait without employment after paying substantial amounts of money with many expressing outrage over payments ranging from 5 million Naira to 15million Naira.
Recently, many of them have perished in Kuwait due to road accidents as they are primarily employed to ride delivery bikes like "Talabat" or Deliveroo. Some have lost their lives. Others are left in apartments without work for six months or longer, they are relying on begging or asking for money from Nigeria back home to survive, all while hoping to find a job someday, which in fact may never occur until their visas are expired and they will be deported back to Nigeria.
The primary problem is that they are victims of trafficking and visa scams, having sold their businesses, took loans and sold family assets back home to covert the exorbitant visa fees, only to find themselves enslaved in Kuwait by Egyptian middlemen who exploit visa schemes kept stranded with some dubious Nigeria living in Kuwait names withheld for now. The identities of these Nigerians living Kuwait that facilitate all these visa trafficking will be made public with their pictures and contact numbers in due time.
Recall, how some of these Nigerians ravaged Dubai, Malaysia, China, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, and various other locations with this visa scam and fake job promises. It mirrors how this group of Nigerian youths are being trafficked into Kuwait. Be assured that sooner or later, numerous reports will start surfacing on weekly basis of some Nigerian citizens receiving death-sentences for drug-related offenses as some are already in prison for different crimes from exchange robbery case that happened some months back and some girls involved in prostitution.
This disturbing trend must be brought to an end before it is too late for many of our young promising back home. Inform your family, friends that most of these countries are not the El-dorado they are told it is. Biafran youths should resist the desperation of trying to leave Nigeria which makes them vulnerable to these scams which they will only regret after they must have become victims infact when they become victims, they go on to drag their fellow youths back home to fall into the same trap just to earn money themselves to sustain.
Instead of wasting the millions of Naira in search of foriegn Visa, it is better to invest that money in any trade or learn a skill in Biafraland or even start involving in agricultural activities. It would yield better results than the death, paranoia, stress and being on the run from immigration of these countries as a result of expired visa or governmental policies to deport immigrants not minding where they came from or what they may have lost to get there.
May we all help ourselves, educate our brothers and sisters to save lives as we earnestly work and pray that Biafra will be restored soonest that all these disappointing stories will be brought to an end.
