Attack on IPOB’s Command and Control: A Smokescreen of Duplicity Disguised As A Watershed Moment

The most lethal counter intelligence activity of any three letter government agency such as the Department of State Security, all over the world, is cognitive warfare also called psychological operation. It is a sub-department active within every government intelligence agency. Their assignment is to socially engineer or program you. 

A socially programmed individual is an individual engineered to have a predetermined outcome. The whole essence of the government programming or engineering is to reduce your morale. So, strategies and tactics are deployed to influence, disrupt, or control the decision-making and thinking processes of individuals within a movement. The ultimate aim is to give government advantage over an adversary by deprogramming members of a movement to become disloyal to the leadership.

The most potent weapon wielded by any self-determination or revolutionary movement such as the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) is ‘Command and Control.’ It is the ability of members to follow leadership order without objections. There may be ample evidence that the order is unclear or even senseless at the time, but members will adhere strictly to it because of unflinching loyalty.

The Nigerian DSS, or any three letter government agency all over the world, fears this type of commitment. It is an affront to a dictatorial establishment. And so, they scheme, devise and cook strategies to decouple the members from the leadership. Once the affinity between members and leadership cracks, an erosion of trust begins to emerge. This will engineer members to become less dedicated to the movement and over time, demoralized.

The most subtle method employed by any government agency to dislodge, dismantle and destroy a self-determination movement like IPOB is the creation of a ‘Controlled Opposition.’ A controlled opposition is a government created opposition. In order words, a controlled opposition is a fake opposition. Everything about them is fake!

A controlled opposition can be an agent provocateur. That is someone recruited to induce and seduce you to violence. Why was it that the first agenda of Simon Ekpa was to pronounce autopilot and encourage criminality?

It can also be an infiltrator. An infiltrator is someone that secretly enters an organization to gather information about them; the aim is to also influence a radical and violent change in behavior of members of a self-determination movement. An infiltrator can be a spy from a foreign government helping the local government you are battling, an undercover agent such as DSS agents or an individual seeking to destroy the movement for pecuniary gains.

It can be a celebrity. Someone that is generally popular and with the skill to bend wills can be recruited by government to sway you against the leadership. At first, the person will appear sympathetic to the plight of the movement and seem to be critical of government’s high handedness. Do not be deceived, everything is fake. The aim is to engineer you before they unleash their venom.

It can also be a content creator. The content creator is either a member or non-member. The urge is usually to go with trends for click baits and farming of engagements. The blow is devastatingly dazzling from a member who usually starts with commitment but may end with proclivity for monetization. It is the dangerous cliff of bloated ego.

The result is almost always the same when such individuals accumulate large followers. Their appetite for trends becomes an excuse to go beyond their boundary. When you call them out, they will accuse you of blackmail and intolerance of dissent. It is a turning point of dishonesty to attack the Command and Control of an organization you belong to, and turn around to claim victimhood. It is a sleazebag smokescreen of duplicity masquerading as a watershed moment.
