Biafra Quest: The Necessity of Vigilance And Avoidance Of Banana Peels
From the beginning of time, ChukwuAbiama (the Supreme Creator and the source of life) has been in charge of the destiny of men. It is on the basis of that indispensable and irrefutable knowledge that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, from the beginning of this current quest for Biafra restoration by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), explicitly told Biafrans that the restoration of Biafra is not for any mortal to give; neither should Biafrans hinge their hope on any human otherwise they boast at the end of the journey.
The problem is not that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is unaware that ChukwuAbiama is not going to come down from his abode. No. He is too intelligent to understand that a physical mission concluded in the spiritual realm must require a physical vessel to bring to manifestation. He clearly understood that. The problem is the misconstrue of the wisdom in that statement and the misunderstanding inherent in the emotionally disturbed.
As an elaboration, both Islam and Christianity have influenced Africa. Regrettably, the countries with a sphere of influence in the Islamic spread in Nigeria, Saudi Arabia and Iran, are either Arabs or influenced by Arabic culture. In the same vein, the western culture with deep connection in Africa is highly anglophone or francophone; it is under the influence of the English or French and, by extension, the United States.
Sadly, both cultures have taken advantage of Africa. They have abused Africa. They see Africa from the lens of zero-sum transaction. It was the Arab that started the slave trade of Africans, even though people rarely remember it or are constrained to talk about the Trans-Atlantic Trade by intentionally avoiding the Arabic slave trade or ignorantly excluding it. Both cultures have ruled Africa with an iron fist, and they both see Africa as nothing but a dispensable trash.
However, Biafrans have seen little remorse from the Arabs in comparison to the other side in the aftermath of their colonial brutality. Furthermore, the Biafran belief system (African spirituality) and value system are in conflict with the Arabic religious influence. While it is true that Christianity is foreign, it must be said that the ethos and values that birth the religion share some common ground with Biafran culture. For example, the Islamic belief of suppressing a woman’s voice or criminalizing the inter-mingling of both gender is abhorred in Biafran culture.
That said, the context for what Mazi Nnamdi Kanu said must be clearly understood. The IPOB leader knows that self-determination is a geopolitical issue. He, therefore, was warning Biafrans to be careful and understand geopolitics. Interestingly, geopolitics is all about interests. Biafrans must understand that only ChukwuAbiama will restore their nation. Hence, their approach is to normalize relationship with any country that share in their common interest.
Such a country can be either Islamic or Christian. It does not matter. What is important is that such a country must know that Biafrans already know it is only ChukwuAbiama will restore their country. So that an Islamic country must support on moral ground without a banana peel or condition contingent on Islamization. Also, a Christian country must not see Biafrans as pawns in a chess game. They must not tell us that we must hand over our medical data, surrender control of our mineral resources, or accept transgenderism, to mention a few, as a precondition.
This is why it is important that an organized structure is in charge at this critical time. The Biafra restoration quest can not afford to be in the hands of emotionally drained individuals whose ideology is the monetization of the movement. The Biafran quest being in good hands as IPOB under the leadership of the DOS, in the absence of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu who is unjustly imprisoned by the lawless Nigerian government, is in a better position to diplomatically advocate international support while clearly stating the condition for such support.
So far, the DOS is making it abundantly clear that partnership is what Biafra seeks. Biafrans loathe slavish manipulation. Biafrans want partners' support in such a way as exist between Russia and the AES countries of Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger. We are going to do business with any country based on mutual respect and accept support for our independence on moral compass. We shall be alert and avoid banana peels.
