IPOB Homeland Leadership Issues Powerful Memo: “IPOB is an Institution Controlled by Leaders, Not Individuals”

In a decisive move to protect the integrity of the struggle, the homeland leadership of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), a none-violent Biafran self-determination movement, has released a powerful internal memo exposing and rejecting what it calls “laughable junk” being peddled by Nigerian government agents.

The memo, addressed to all homeland structures, directly tackles misleading publications, including the so-called “Dissolution of DOS” circulated by Igbere TV, describing them as deliberate attempts to sow confusion and division within the ranks of the freedom-fighting movement.

The Home land IPOB firmly reiterated that it remains a people owned freedom fighting movement. Any genuine directive or information concerning leadership must come exclusively from the apex leadership through verified and trusted channels only:

The memo leaves no room for ambiguity: any information or directive emerging outside these three official channels must be dismissed outright as propaganda from the Nigerian government.

Drawing from years of resilience, the leadership acknowledged repeated attempts both from external forces and infiltrators within, to destroy the Biafran self-determination struggle. However, it sends a clear and confident message:  all such efforts have failed and will continue to fail.

The memo powerfully underscores IPOB’s maturity as an institution:

“IPOB is already an institution and as such, any meaningful organisation is not controlled by an individual but by a group of leaders.”

It issues a stern warning to all: anyone attempting to impose leaders on IPOB or unilaterally dismiss others is acting as an enemy of the struggle. The movement has clearly outgrown the era where individuals sitting in comfort zones can arbitrarily appoint or remove leaders at will.

Describing the latest tactics as “the last card from the Nigerian government to destabilise us,” the memo calls every rank-and-file structure into immediate action.

State coordinators, senatorial coordinators, local government coordinators, zonal coordinators, and unit coordinators have been directed to “switch into action” and ensure that all family members remain united, focused, and intact.

The internal memo was signed by  Mazi Yeje Okarammadu Williams, National Coordinator Biafra home land.

This timely and resolute communication from IPOB’s homeland leadership sends a powerful signal of strength, discipline, and unwavering commitment to the Biafran cause. It demonstrates the movement’s readiness to defend its structures, reject manipulation, and press forward with the legitimate quest for self-determination.

As IPOB continues to grow in influence and institutional depth, this memo serves as both a shield against disinformation and a rallying call for total unity proving once again that the collective will of the Biafran people remains unbreakable.
