Nnamdi Kanu: Nigerian Government And the Violation of Court Orders

The Nigerian government and its secret service, the Department of State Services (DSS) have not been obeying their own rules, neither the rule of law.

This is worst so, when it comes to court  orders, pronouncements, normal rules of engagement, let alone the international law.

The report of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), when he was visited by his lead counsel Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor on Monday 6th of December 2021, at the DSS Headquarters in Abuja vehemently proves this to be true.

The DSS does not obey the orders of the Judges, concerning the rights of the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra.

According to Barrister Ejiofor, his client, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has been denied access to food for two days, causing enormous  suffering on him, despite his acute stomach ulcers. As if that was not enough, the DSS personnel in charge, has also denied him access to medication and prayer materials as well, contrary to the judge's prouncement on the case.

While Nnamdi Kanu is not yet convicted of any crime, he does not deserve such a treatment from the government, no matter the alleged crime, his fundamental human rights remains sacrosanct to all humans. The world must not keep silent on this anymore. A stitch in time saves nine!
