The Folly Of Continuing To Illegally Detain Kanu, The IPOB Leader

This Nigerian government of All Progressive Congress(APC), led by President Muhammadu Buhari is seriously beraved of useful ideas and sound reasoning. Right upon their watch, Nigeria became a failed State. Under this APC government, Nigeria fell in coma, it is under Buhari's watch that  many terrorist groups sprang up. It is under his watch that the economy of the country fell below a repairable state. Many things have really fallen apart, under the watch of Muhammadu Buhari.

But, in the midst of these, the government is still busy pushing air, and calling it achievement.

Buhari arrested the leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra(IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, telling Nigerians that it is a solution to the country's problem, held Kanu in detention for nearly a year now, yet till today, I see nothing that the arrest of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has changed in the deteriorating condition of Nigeria. 

This same government had earlier even arrested the Shitte Muslims' leader for same frivolous reasons, have detained him for almost 6 years now, yet I see nothing good that his arrest has done for the country.

If you ask me of Muhammadu Buhari's achievement for these past seven(7) years, I would tell you nothing because I sincerely do not know any. His only seen achievement is the continued incarceration of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the IPOB leader, which has not helped Nigerians in anyway, but have only gone on to worsen the situation of things.

The arrest of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is a wasted effort and will forever be remembered as one of the many misplaced priorities of this president Muhammadu Buhari's APC government.

Muhammadu Buhari abandoned what he is supposed to be fighting to chase after a proverbial rat. If the money and many other resources being lavished in  persecuting Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB were used for  some other things that will better the lives of Nigerians, it would have been better. If the energy put in arresting and incarceration of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was use in trying to curtail the activities of Fulani Herdsmen, Boko Haram, bandits and other Fulani terrorist groups ravaging the country, the country would have been better. If all the captured Boko Haram and other terrorist group members were meted the kind of treatment being meted on Mazi Nnamdi Kanu today, Nigeria would have been free of terrorism. Unfortunately,  Buhari prefers wasting his efforts on inconsequentials.

This is sad. And I hope this government quickly wakes up to do the needful before they ignorantly generates more calamities for the already sinking country.
