The Sit-At-Home Strategy Of 30th May That Frustrated Nigerian Government and Saved lives of Biafrans
The Biafra
heroes’ day is a spiritual event. It would be very difficult to see a family in
Biafraland that did not lose a family member or relative in that targeted war
of annihilation by Nigerian government against Biafrans from 1967-70.
So
generally, Biafran people sees 30th May as a symbolic, spiritual day to
remember their brothers, sisters, mothers, children and relatives that were
murdered during that war, and until the arrival of IPOB, no day was set aside
by our so-called political leaders, to remember Biafra fallen heroes. No
monument was built by any political elite to remember these brave men and women
that sacrificed their lives for us to live.
On May 30,
2013, IPOB unveiled the first ever cenotaph (pictured below) in Enugu, to honor
the Biafran fallen heroes and heroines, but it was a big challenge to the
Nigerian government who does not want Biafra to remember their fallen heroes
and continue to suppress all that concerns Biafra to prevent the world from
revisiting history and find out the crimes against humanity committed against
Biafrans.
Thus, that
area was invaded by Nigerian military and the cenotaph destroyed. Since then,
every attempt by IPOB to remember their fallen heroes was met with overwhelming
brutality and destruction by the Nigerian government. But, IPOB was determined
to honor Biafra heroes, hence, adopted the sit at home strategy which was a
master idea that defeated the Nigerian government brutality.
Since the adoption
of IPOB sit-at-home to remember Biafra fallen heroes and heroines, the Nigerian
government have been trying their best to stop it. But for the fact they no
longer find people to slaughter on that day, they become helpless, frustrated
and defeated. That is why, 30th May Biafra heroes day is always very successful
in Biafra land. Our people finally seen a better and improvised method to
remember their heroes and heroines without Nigerian state brutality.
Kudos to the
rare wisdom of the IPOB leadership.
When Biafra
is restored, we will honor the Biafra heroes in the most classic way than one
can imagine. But, for now the annual indoor commemoration procedure shall
continue and we will continue to record maximum success and compliance. The
spirits of our heroes in the beyond will be at peace and know that we have not
forgotten them and that we are keeping the flame for Biafra freedom alive.
God bless
Biafra!
Long live
IPOB And Mazi Nnamdi Kanu!
