Poisoning Allegation: The Ludicrous Attempt To Tag Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, IPOB And Ndigbo As Terrorists Is Rooted In Political Correctness And Sycophancy

Self determination is a universal right inherent and exercisable to the indigenous people of every country. It is a fundamental and basic prerogative recognized by law —both domestic and international. In other words, it is a democratic process that utilizes referendum. And a referendum is simply a voting which requires a yes or no answer. Therefore, in referenda only one opinion with a simple majority wins. There are two important and obvious observations in this process: one is the right to vote and two is the right to an opinion. Put simply, self-determination is a political right of expression of an opinion through vote casting. So, it is just a natural right.

Shockingly, but not surprisingly, the late Buhari employed a playbook typical of every tyrant. Every despotic regime has always embraced that playbook to sustain their political correctness and to portray every genuine political demand for accountability as a threat to democracy and national security. It is a playbook deliberate and calculated to misrepresent and mislabel. It is the playbook of denial of right.

Perhaps, it is pertinent to assert that neither Buhari nor his cabinet can be that creative unless there was an alliance of global proportion created to spotlight the bestial playbook through a mainstream media coverage. It is an act that started in British colonial rule in 1945, escalated in 1966 — 1970 and has been sustained till date. During this period, Ndigbo were reduced to terrible name calling devoid of humanity as a precursor or prelude to the pogrom that followed.

And as the genocidal war ended, the special interests contrived a story depicting Biafrans as rebels rather than victims thereby reversing victim and offender. Hence, it is a pattern. It is called a permission of violence structure. At first, your basic right would be denied. Then you will be brutally attacked. Followed by victim blame and then the classification of the victim as the criminal or perpetrator.

In the present brouhaha, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) makes a demand for a referendum for the IPOB to determine their future in Nigeria, Buhari treated the universal law with disregard by denying IPOB the right to exercise their political expression. Of course with the tacit support of extraneous forces, he proceeded to murder IPOB members in various locations with complicit silence.

IPOB saw hell during the first years of the dead Buhari and the climax was the invasion of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s country home, in September 2017, leading to the extrajudicial killing of not less than 28 Biafran flag waving civilians. The trauma of that horrific cold-blooded murder killed his parents. Despite the illegal and unconstitutional labeling of IPOB as a terror group, the global goodwill enjoyed by IPOB ensured that Nigeria ended on a unilateral mission; as a lone actor.

However, for IPOB to implode, Nigerian government was advised to reverse victim and/or offender. Further more, the current coordinated attacks and terrorism tag from the politically naïve obedient movement and their hired thugs are due to political pacification and seems to be the only nexus between them and the foreign designated terrorist APC government. It is a common point of ideological diffusion. And it clearly shows that a new Nigeria is not possible in that the obedient movement does not care about justice.

It does not care about the possibility of poisoning Mazi Nnamdi Kanu for as long as the political realities of Nigeria is sustained nor does it care about the well-being or provision of proper medical treatment for Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Surely, such a movement is not for indigenous development but, rather, another deception for propagating neocolonial interests.

To conclude, those who tag IPOB terrorists are liars, sycophants and mischievous persons seeking political relevance. They are enemies of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, IPOB and Ndigbo; they are willing tools used by the enemy to justify poisoning of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and genocide against IPOB and Ndigbo.

They are homegrown liars, evil and aiding and abetting mercenaries. They are a tool of repression masquerading as a movement for a political change. It is another pretend movement used to continue the geopolitical preference for oil and gas exploitation in Biafra land rather than defend truth and political right of indigenous people to exercise their freedom.
