Biafra Restoration: Why True Patriots Support IPOB's Security Efforts, Not the Detractors

There is need to emphasize, for the purpose of a healthy conversation, that security is a collective community task. It, therefore, follows that everyone has a role to play in securing a community. If this is true, and it is, then no community can truly be safe unless the indigenous population is in charge of security. It is highly unlikely, factually impossible, to have an immigrant or a non-indigene, especially a hostile or hate-filled person, provide you security.

Yet, this is the situation of Biafraland (Eastern region) that is not talked about as much. It is rather unfortunate and annoying that those who claim to know everything and to have deeper love for Biafraland are in the business of deflecting issues and shifting blames. Instead of these self acclaimed lovers of Biafraland (intellectuals) holding the governors and central government of Nigeria accountable for allowing Fulani people be in charge of security in Eastern region, they foam in the mouth trying to outdo each other with unintelligent blame on IPOB for setting up ESN. Instead of holding the governors accountable for urban and rural destruction of lives and properties, they saturate the social media highway with their ignorant blame shifting of condescendingly tagging IPOB the culprit.

This attitude is not helpful to the victims but only nurtures the criminal grounds, thereby letting criminals off the hook. Everyone with half a functioning brain knows this. So, it is either these otellectuals are ignorant, or paid, or directly involved in the crimes. Either way, it is very concerning.

Lately, there have been a deluge of social media accounts with Biafran  names (especially Igbo names) recently created, and there is a good chance that these new accounts, constantly attacking IPOB, are DSS engineered psychological operations targeting IPOB and making the crime in Biafraland (eastern Nigeria) unsolvable and unresolved.

It is also easy to see that many of these accounts belong to Yoruba people. A few of these belong to actual so called Biafran intellectuals who are involved in this insecurity business or simply generating traffic to their social media pages.

There are accounts from people who used Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB to become relevant, only to switch loyalty as soon as they travelled abroad or become popular. These accounts make outlandish insinuations for the sake of farming engagements. It is that terrible.

They blame IPOB for promising security this yuletide and childishly blame IPOB as the engineers of insecurity. Of course, it is true what is said about allowing people to write or talk because it almost always revealed how stupid some people you think are educated and intelligent can sound. And you cannot know until they talk. That is the journey of otellectualism (so called intellectuals). Their hatred of IPOB and Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has become a disease and acute KDS (Kanu Derangement Syndrome).

For record purposes, let it be stated for the umpteenth time that while IPOB was proscribed in 2017 for waving flag, raising awareness about Christian genocide and Fulani jihadism, the ESN was created in 2020 as a child of necessity to fill a gap which nature abhors. ESN, as a disciplined security, has a clear order to make Biafran farmlands, bushes and forests uninhabitable for Fulani terrorists and they have not deviated.

IPOB, in keeping with this mandate, always promise our people every yuletide season. To shore up the confidence of our people and to disappoint the enemy who is trying to scare our people from coming home. IPOB knows how personal this time is to our people. IPOB is also campaigning for our people to come home and develop our land. One can see how important security is to IPOB. You cannot ask your people to come home while importing insecurity as this will drive them away. This is not rocket science. Only someone who is going to benefit from insecurity will sponsor it.

That said, it is not our job to wake people pretending to sleep or whose paycheck depends on them acting stupid.

Therefore, what IPOB is promising is not new, rather it is keeping with the tradition rooted in creation of ESN with a mandate to make our farmlands, bushes and forests uninhabitable for Fulani kidnappers or their local allies. There are many from among us who work with and for them, who profit from the pain of their people but come online to shout IPOB this and that every time. It is the duty of the governors to provide urban security. It is not the job of IPOB. Anyone who does not know this is mischievous or misguided or both.

Wannabe Biafran intellectuals should channel their fake love energy at demanding accountability from these incompetent governors if truly they want the crimes to stop; unless, of course, as suspected they are directly involved or farming engagements.
