IPOB Declares Chief Morocco Oparaugo Wanted in Connection to Alleged Organ Harvesting and Kidnapping Ring
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has issued a public alert declaring High Chief Stanley "Morocco" Oparaugo wanted for his alleged involvement in a gruesome organ harvesting and kidnapping syndicate operating along the Aba-Owerri Expressway.
According to IPOB statements circulating widely on social media, Chief Oparaugo, a native of Umuhu community in Ngor Okpala Local Government Area, owns Jessy Best Hotel and manages an adjoining private mortuary (Ugwudi Cottage Hospital mortuary services). These facilities are accused of serving as hideouts where kidnapped victims are held, ransoms collected, and in many cases, victims killed and their organs harvested.
The alert describes Oparaugo as the "face of the organ harvester" responsible for "crimes committed against our people." IPOB claims its intelligence unit has been mobilized to track him down, urging anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact local IPOB members or use designated "IPOB-HOD Enquiry Lines" via Signal messaging apps at +61 434 294 745 or +41 77 906 96 81.
This IPOB declaration follows a major police operation in early December 2025, where Imo State authorities raided the hotel and mortuary, discovering over 100 decomposed and mutilated bodies in unhygienic conditions. Nigerian police officially declared Stanley Morocco Oparaugo wanted on December 6, 2025, after he failed to honor invitations and went into hiding. The facilities were sealed, and later demolished on orders from the state government, with Commissioner of Police Aboki Danjuma vowing to apprehend him and any accomplices.
IPOB supporters have highlighted that for years, similar crimes in the region were falsely attributed to IPOB or its armed wing, Eastern Security Network (ESN), by Nigerian media and authorities. They argue this case exposes a criminal network allegedly protected or enabled under Governor Hope Uzodimma's administration, now unraveling through police action.
The case has drawn international attention, with reports from outlets like Fox News describing it as a "secret organ-harvesting ring" uncovered after weeks of surveillance. Forensic investigations continue, and enhanced security patrols have been deployed along the Owerri-Aba Expressway.
While police urge the public to report tips to official channels (e.g., 0803 477 3600), IPOB's parallel alert underscores the group's vigilante-style response to perceived threats against Biafran people. Authorities have not commented on IPOB's involvement in the manhunt.
This development highlights ongoing security challenges in southeast Nigeria, including kidnapping and allegations of ritualistic crimes, amid broader tensions between IPOB Movement and federal forces.
