Enugu: Lolo Nneka Chimezie Accuses Nigerian Military of Systematically Displacing Igbo Youths from Ancestral Villages

Prominent voice in the South East, Lolo Nneka Chimezie, has strongly accused the Nigerian military of deliberately displacing Igbo youths from their ancestral homes in parts of Enugu State and other South East communities.

Lolo Nneka, known for her outspoken advocacy on regional issues, alleged that the military is systematically sacking young people from their villages, allegedly to create room for Fulani herdsmen to occupy the land.

In a recent interview with local residents, one villager claimed that Fulani herdsmen have been unleashing violence on communities, including killing people and destroying farmlands.

The resident further stated that the Eastern Security Network (ESN) has played a crucial role in protecting the villagers from these attacks.

“Since the ESN returned to our village, the Fulani herdsmen no longer disturb us or destroy our farms,” the local said.

Lolo Nneka Chimezie reportedly accused the Nigerian military of intentionally clearing the way for what she described as “Fulani Islamic terrorists” to take over villages and towns across the South East region. She claimed the displacement of Igbo youths is part of a calculated plan to alter the demographics of the area.
