Lolo Nneka Chimezie Makes Historic First Appearance on Biafra Television

Lolo Nneka Chimezie, National President of the Igbo Women Assembly (IWA), made her debut appearance on Biafra Television (BTV) on Saturday, June 6, 2026, in a powerful edition of the network’s flagship program, The Big Conversation.”

Hosted by Mazi Ikem Patrick, the interview, which aired at 7:30 PM Biafra Time, marked Lolo Nneka Chimezie’s first-ever appearance on the leading Biafran broadcast platform. The session drew massive viewership from Biafrans at home and across the diaspora.

As a prominent Biafran activist, cultural advocate, and leader of the Igbo Women Assembly, Lolo Nneka Chimezie used the platform to address critical issues affecting the Biafra restoration struggle, leadership accountability, and the quest for the freedom of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

She was particularly passionate on the subject of Igbo identity and cultural preservation, delivering a strong message on language revival:

“Every Igbo child must learn to speak the Igbo language. We cannot claim to be fighting for Biafra while allowing our language to die. It is our duty as parents and leaders to ensure that our children speak Igbo fluently. The Igbo language is our identity, our heritage, and we must preserve it at all costs.”

Lolo Nneka Chimezie stressed the urgent need for deliberate efforts towards Igbo language revival. She warned that failure to transmit the language to the younger generation poses a serious threat to Igbo culture and the future of the Biafran nation. She called on parents, schools, traditional rulers, and community leaders to prioritize the teaching and daily use of the Igbo language in homes and educational institutions.

Her fearless, direct, and motherly approach during the interview resonated deeply with viewers, who described the session as enlightening, inspiring, and long overdue. Many took to social media to commend the IWA National President for boldly linking cultural preservation with the broader Biafran struggle.

The appearance has generated widespread positive reactions, with video clips from the program circulating rapidly online. Supporters hailed it as a landmark broadcast, further cementing Lolo Nneka Chimezie’s position as one of the most influential female voices in the Biafra restoration movement and Igbo cultural renaissance.
