BREAKING: Court Orders DSS To Produce Two Defendants Detained Since 2021, To Court

Honourable Justice Binta Nyako of federal high court Abuja has ordered the Department Of State Security(DSS) to produce Ikechukwu Henry and Ikechukwu Chukwu Nwite in court for plea.

The both defendants have been levied on criminal charges since last year, 2022.

Ikechukwu Chukwu Nwite was Charged on 20th January 2022, and Ikechukwu Henry was charged on 13th May 2022, both before his lordship, the Honorable Justice B.M.F Nyako.

Nnaemeka Ejiofor, Esq. the counsel for the two defendants informed the court that this is the second time the case has come up and the prosecutor(DSS) has not produced these defendants in court.

In response to Barrister Nnaemeka notice, the court therefore orders that the 'Director Legal' of DSS ensure that the two defendants are produced in court on the next adjourned date, 2nd February 2023.

Recall that the two defendants were both abducted by the DSS since early 2021, and in violation of their fundamental human rights, DSS have refused to bring the two defendants to court. The DSS have also continued denying these defendants access to their lawyer and relations, a case of grave abuse of human rights by a supposed national security agency, DSS.
