“We Remain Loyal to Legitimate Structure” — IPOB Senegal Rejects Kanu’s New Order
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Senegal chapter has joined the growing wave of international chapters rejecting detained leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s announcement dissolving the movement’s Directorate of State (DOS) and appointing new leadership.
In a strongly worded statement released today, June 19, 2026, and signed by Mazi Promise Nkwachukwu Ebo, National Coordinator of IPOB Senegal, the chapter described the circulating publication as unacceptable by IPOB Senegal.
Mazi Promise Nkwachukwu Ebo remains the duly recognized National Coordinator. The chapter urged all IPOB members and Biafrans in Senegal to disregard any purported new coordinator and continue supporting the existing legitimate structure.
